As soon as you drive it onto an edge this ski is not going to throw you into the air (which is usually the case when skiing a short radius ski).

APO RON SKIS

Like big-mountain riding? Then these are for you. Straight-line huge powder lines with the APO Ron Skis. The Sintered 4000 base offers speed and strength with a stone ground finish like a boss… These skis are for taking you to freeriding fluffy powder heaven and back. If you like floating above the snow on a regular basis with only natural kickers in sight, then these are for you. The rocker camber keeps you light so you can take that big-mountain line without a care, and the PB Performance core gives you a stable ride and super dynamic edge grip.

 Rocker Type
Rocker Camber - Easy and forgiving: These rocker boards have zero camber and a light rocker on the tip & tail. The goal is to make them easy to use and forgiving to reduce edge-catch risks to the minimum. You get smooth floatability and easy riding for whatever the conditions or terrain are.

 Core
PB Performance Core - Precise and strong, two strips of beech reinforce the PB Performance core. This robust and responsive core provides stable and dynamic edge grip.

Laminates
2D Fiberglass - The multiple layers of 2D fiberglass create a lightweight, nimble ski with exceptional torsional balance and edge-hold.

 Sidewalls
Stanted/Minicap - Minicap sidewalls have a double angle (10° and 60°), which considerably reduces impact damage.

 Base
Sintered 4000 - Sintered bases are super-fast and made to last. Polyethylene pellets are forced together under extremely high pressure. The result is a singular piece of connected pellets with tiny pores across the entire base. Sintered bases absorb hot wax very well and should be waxed often.
Stone Grind - Increased speed in spring snow: Stone-ground bases glide much better on wet snow thanks to the structure that enables water drops to escape more efficiently from under your board.

 Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

APO SAMMY CARLSON BC SKIS

Sammy’s choice for freestyling the powder, the APO Sammy BC Skis have a PB Performance Core that is super precise and strong and a Sintered 8000 base…the numerouno of base material, so you can launch off backcountry booters with ease. Sammy Carlson is truly a man of many talents, and the Sammy BC is his choice from his quiver for charging in the powder. The super wide width combined with the rocker camber means fun in the deep powder but stable and chilled landings off the booters in the backcountry.

PB Light Core - Durability and responsiveness: The dynamism and flex of this combination of poplar and beech core provide a light and responsive ski allowing dynamic riding and optimized pop.

Men’s Powder Skis

Almost all of today’s powder skis share the following two qualities: fat platform underfoot for flotation and significant tip rocker for gliding over the snow and schmearing turns. Where each is different depends on flex patterns, turning radii, and camber profiles, all of which combine to dictate a genuine personality.
